Friends of Bill

This page is devoted to my friends of Bill W with love.

Hi I'm Jim Weaver the owner of Weaver Web Designs inviting you to look over my software and to tell you a little more about how we can help you with your online business.

When I became a web designer I knew technology would evolve faster than I could keep up so investment became the strategy to succeed as new online MPLS software became the emerging market. So I invested my profits on all sorts of different architechures trying to find the best.

We train our software to you free as perceived value for your monthly hosting service fees. This is a serious plus for you to save money while eliminating hiring an expensive web designer or web development firm. Oh Yeah, we are one of those too.

However with this option you will have access to over 200 web masters employed by our company to help you with your website at anytime you want to make adjustments and/or add new pages or links to your website. We even train you how to upload and sell your product items online as well. Quite honestly it may seem like this would cause us to lose business but It does not. Many of our clients hire us directly to design their websites for them.

Our hourly rates are 45.00 per hour for design and development. Our hosting rates vary depending the levels of service you require monthly. You wont believe how fast we can develop (until we show you)

Our (stand alone) infrastructure software sells for $500.00 and hosting levels start at $49.99 per month with including free support to our tech team. Search Engine Submissions done by us take approximately 45 minutes time each month for a hosting fee of $79.99 per month.

You may be thinking Wow! That's expensive! Well, No it's not when your site becomes successful. Some designer friends of mine sell percentages of the success your website receives at 10% or more and have you pay for Google Ad words or other website magic trickery. We don't do that! We follow the rules and get top ranks naturally on Google. Trust that other search engines spiders follow Google and will rank you high too when Google does.
Hi, I'm Jim Weaver and I look forward to meeting you!

My Story
My life was screwed up by the age of thirty. I worked the steps and my life became un-screwed up. I'm now 52 and sober for 21 years at this writing.  I had an alcoholic mother who died from drinking when I was 23 sending me into a sense of grief, pain and shame that was unresolvable. I went to my first AA to get my slip signed because the courts were involved with me for drinking and fighting. I had almost killed a man in Portland in 1981 during a drunken brawl the same year she died. Yep, I was pissed off at the world by this time.

My Mother & Father got divorced when I was 6 and separated for two reasons. My mother was
promiscuous and had affairs before I was born (I learned from my mother I was not my Fathers son at 18 years of age) and I asked my mother why my Father was kissing another woman that I had witnessed him do at a party one night when I was 5. Yep that did it all right! As a child it was all my fault I believed but (my healthy self within me) somehow later knew this wasn't true.

Typical Wreckage & Chaos
At my first AA meeting I was really angry and I freaked out! Some guy said he was a grateful recovering alcoholic! Oh no, went off in my mind! AA? I don't belong here!
I will continue....later. I'm going to start a
Procrastination Anonymous meeting! Tomorrow............................@

About My Business

How I got started in web design and why I got started in web design is from the success I received from building my first website at
http://www.weaverpainting.com for my paint contracting business. This website no longer exists!

Here's what happened!
One day in 2003, I received a call from a potential customer who wanted his house painted in Oysterville, Washington who found my website online. I really did not like the idea of taking on a painting project that far away from my home base in Seaside, Oregon but decided it was at least worth going over and taking a look at it. I had a sense of like for a man named Steve whom I was speaking with on the phone.

I had to enter a private gate to look at this property and upon cresting a small hill, up loomed the largest single house I had ever seen for a single family dwelling.

I knew Steve obviously had some money but I bid the job fairly not knowing what Steve did for a living and told him I would do exactly that.  I admitted to Steve I was really curious about his occupation but would ask him after I gave him my bid.

I keep this a standard for my own self integrity when bidding any project. I learned this from my father that it was more important not to judge a man from his belongings but to determine if they were a person I felt I could work with.

As we all know, not all wealthy people are honest or have integrity just because they have money and power. I felt that my new potential customer had both. Steve had both integrity and wealth and kiddingly told me to rest assured he wasn't an attorney as I departed! I told him that was good to know. We both laughed. I wondered why he didn't really like attorneys? I later found out.

I counted over 500 individual window panes made from wood from the pictures I took and gave Steve a bid for 27,500 dollars. He awarded me the contract from an email he sent back to me. I knew I had been awarded the bid so I went to his Steve's website to find out what Steve did for a living at http://www.mcgeady.com

I moused over a picture of Stone Henge until I saw Steve's name below a large rock and clicked on it. Then I clicked on Steve's Bio page and started reading about the man...well in fact here is part of Steve's professional Biography below

Mr. McGeady is the Managing Director of Drumlin Holdings, a private investment and management consulting firm.  Until June of 2000, Mr. McGeady was Vice President of the New Business Group at Intel Corporation. During his 15 years at Intel, Mr. McGeady led numerous software, marketing, and investment initiatives for the company, including the Intel i960 RISC microprocessor software architecture and software, multimedia algorithms, applications, and tools, Internet infrastructure and applications, and Internet-based healthcare delivery.

In 1998, Mr. McGeady was a witness for the US Department of Justice in the U.S. vs. Microsoft anti-trust case , where he testified about Microsoft's attempts to control Intel's software efforts, as well as their behavior toward Netscape and Sun's Javasoft.  He was the only executive from a Microsoft "ally" to testify for the government.  In 2002, Mr. McGeady was again called to testify in the Remedy phase of the trial.

Talk about a sobering and humbling experience that day was! Wow, my reputation and hard work as a sober painter was finally paying off. In fact, Steve even had me do more work on the interior of his home. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you this? Well it's for several reasons and I want to make a real point about who I am and what my IT development company can do for you and your business.

Why did I show you this? Well, mostly my own self ego (as we know sober alcoholics love success) and to show that sobriety and hard work with ethics pay off, but there's more. It's for three reasons.

1. To show where God and sobriety has the ability to take you in life beyond your wildest dreams and what God can achieve for you sober even through tough times.

2. It's because we submit websites to
GOOGLE and google will list sites first who submit once a month and especially those hosted on the WAN using our infrastructure on Savvis Networks servers. Bill Gates uses Savvis servers  too and has for years.

3.
God gave me the ability through web design and hard work to help others and to let you know I care about you and your online business success even if we haven't met yet!

My website here (and paint contracting website) is hosted directly into the main core of the WAN on Savvis Networks servers as also mentioned on my homepage. The beauty of hosting in the main core of the Internet is that there is no routing from a hosted area LAN network to have to reach reach the WAN. All of the major search engines send oui spiders for new listings from searching GOOGLE first.

What You Need To Know

I know what I'm talking about everywhere on my website because I have done my homework about GOOGLE and the Internet in general. I care about getting success for people in business. Why? Because I am in business and know the struggles people go through in business to get started. My painting clients ranged from working for Steve McGeady, Ron, Brad and Ed Tonkin of Tonkin automobiles and painting many ocean front homes and motels.

I worked really hard at my painting business and used my business for 20 years as a ministry (so to speak) to help recovery alcoholics get sober. Some still are and some have even gone into business for themselves as painters.

I have transitioned from painting to doing web design full time now. Too many sore bones over the years and I achieved in painting to be the best at it until I decided to try to be the best at something else that captured my interest. Oh, I will still consult on paint coating applications in the Northwest don't get me wrong, it was just my time to get out of the bucket. Painters know what that term means!

I'm excited about my web design business and have found the Internet just another form of how to express myself. No it's not paint consulting on Victorians for the historical society in Astoria anymore. The Internet to me is just another form of painting canvas and I've always liked big canvas for expressing my talent. Yep the Internet is a bigger canvas than large houses.

Just so you know we can design you a very sophisticated development platform for your business too! Learn what I mean about the WAN & keywords for websites by reading my artcle on the topic at

My AA birthday is 9/13/1987
I drank heavily for many years as a painter, (common in paint contractor industry) I became a failure and (God as I understand him) picked me back up and helped me get new directions in life. I'm a lucky man who sobered up at age 30 from going to treatment and working the 12 steps of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and I continue the principle of working with others to maintain my sobriety daily by attending AA meetings and taking the steps with others.

I learned it in Portland, Oregon at (SKULLYS FROM "OKIE JIM") when it was on Stephens.

"If a man fails to enlarge and enhance his spiritual life through work and self sacrifice for others, he will not survive the certain TRIALS AND LOW SPOTS AHEAD"

Hmmm! I guess that means we have trials and low spots ahead after we sober up! I know I've had my share over the past 21 years. Thank you family, for helping and working with me, but most of all for all the meetings where you taught me how to learn a new way of living sober and handling sobriety. Want a treat? Read "Joes Woes" in the second addition of the book! In Portland find Leon and ask to hold Bill W's 12X12. I bet Leon will also give you a new marble! He did me.

Hey Tulsa, I'm originally from Tulsa, glad the 12X12 from 12 East 12th St. (even though now on Skelly drive) is still a God deal! Isn't living sober a hoot? Ye Ha! Ya'll. Till we meet. God Bless you and yours. As my friend Steve H says,
"It's a good day to be sober no matter what's going on in life"
